Attractions in Branson

Branson has more attractions than most family vacation spots in the United States with their own theme park leading the #1 attraction for 40 years. Silver Dollar City has five distinctive festivals each year, which include:

World Fest from April 6 to May 7,

Bluegrass & BBQ Festival from May 13 to June 4,

National Kid’s Fest from June 9 to August 20,

Southern Gospel Picnic Days from August 31 to September 10,

Festival of American Music & Craftsmanship from September 14 to October 28 and An Old Time Christmas from November 4 to December 30.

Not only does Silver Dollar City have festivals throughout the year to entertain the entire family but they have wonderful and exciting rides such as the PowderKeg, Wildfire, The Flooded Mine, Geyser Gulch, Tom Sawyer's Landing, Becky's Carousel, Fire in the Hole, Runaway Ore Cart, Steam Train, Marvel Cave Tour to name a few.

If riding all those wild rides is just not your favorite thing to do you may enjoy shopping in the 60 various shops, dining at the delectable restaurants such as Buckshot Annie's Chicken Shack, Tater Patch, Aunt Polly's, Silver Mine Restaurant, Eva & Delilah's Bakery, Lumber Camp, Garden Café, Riverside Rib House, Big Jack's, Owens Fish Camp Grill, and Mary's Springhouse Restaurant.

Silver Dollar City has its own shows as well such as the Horsecreek Band, Cumberland Quartet, Redneckers, Echo Hollow, Bayou Boogie, and Choctaw Charlie's Frontier Follies.

We all have that inner child still in us somewhere and the World's Largest Toy Museum is sure to bring it out. Here you will find all your favorite toys from your childhood including some that you only dreamed you could own. The Toy Museum is a favorite of young and old with thousands of toys on display including trains, dolls, puppets and more.

The American Presidential Museum is always a favorite not just for an education stroll through the history of all the Presidents of the United States but as a hands on exciting adventure with such attractions as the Air Force One jet airplane used by President Richard Nixon, wonderful and distinctive memorabilia and exhibits, plus the Hall of the First Ladies.

Celebration City is where you want to be during those twilight hours. They have exciting rides such as the Ozark Wildcat roller coaster, miniature golf, a Ferris wheel, and many great kid's rides. At the end of your day, you will really enjoy watching the laser show entitled Celebration before you head off to bed.

The Harold Bell Wright Museum has many of Mr. Wright’s original manuscripts, gun collection, woodworking tools, original paintings and so much more. He was one of the most popular authors during the early and mid twentieth century. This is the first author that became a millionaire from his books, for many years he wrote the number one selling book in the US not counting the Bible. Harold Bell Wright wrote many western movies with stars such as John Wayne.

Take the Historic Homestead Tour on a jeep drawn tram for a full hour while you step back in time to Old Matt’s Cabin where the Ross family lived for 30 years. In the cabin, you will view many wonderful antiques, historical artifacts, furniture, photographs, tools, and cooking utensils.

If you enjoyed movies and television shows such as The Wizard of Oz, Gone With the Wind, The Godfather, Happy Days, Nightmare on Elm Street, Indiana Jones, then you are going to love visiting the Hollywood Max Museum in Branson. There are many of your favorite television shows and movie stars created with wax that gives you the feeling that you were there when the show was produced. Step onto the set and smile for the camera.

Looking for a “landmark on the horizon” is simple once you see the massive 230' tall structure located on Inspiration Point in The Shepherd of the Hills Homestead. This unique structure cost around $1.5 million to build, weighs over 3 million pounds, contains more than 92,000 pounds of structural steel and can survive constant winds of 172 mph and winds gusts up to 224 mph. This is one masterpiece well worth visiting in Branson.

Take a break, grab your golf clubs and head over to Pointe Royale Golf Course for an 18 holes of challenging golf. This par 70 course gives you Bermuda fairways, bent grass greens and 12 holes amid water and sand traps.

Who doesn’t enjoy the bizarre world of Ripley’s Believe it or Not? Well, in Branson, you can visit the Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum and view the unique and unusual collection of over 400 of the most weird and bizarre things you may ever see. Among the collection, you will find vampire bats, optical illusions, shrunken human heads and more.

Beauty and nature is what The Butterfly Palace and Rainforest Adventure has to offer visitors. You start your tour in one of the 3-D theaters to see a film on the life of the Butterfly, then the fun begins as you travel along a self-guided tour through the Mystical Forest. As you wind your way through, you will observe and discover more than 1,000 different types of tropical butterflies from all over the world. Then you will stroll through the Emerald Forest Mirror Maze where all kinds of surprises await. To top off your adventure enjoy the Incredible Insect Zoo with some unique and unusual creature such as ants, geckos, dart frogs, red-eyed tree frogs and more.
